Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms chicken (cut into medium sized pieces)


  • 1 nos onion


  • 2 nos potato(medium sized)


  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder


  • 3 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 3/4 cups water


  • 1 sprig curry leaves,to taste


  • 5 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp salt ,to taste


  • 1 tsp red chili powder (to marinate)


  • 2 tsp coriander powder (to marinate)


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder(to marinate)


  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste(to marinate)


  • 1 1/2 tsp vinegar(to marinate)


  • 1 tsp salt ,some to taste(to marinate)

Directions

  • Wash and peel potatoes and cut it into medium cubes.
  • Mix all the ingredients to marinate.
  • Add little water into it and make it to a paste.
  • Marinate the chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Add half of sliced onion, cubed potato and ? cup of water.
  • Pressure cook the same. (Go for 1 whistle and immediately remove the cooker from the stove. Open the cooker once steam goes completely)
  • Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion and curry leaves and saut? till it becomes brown.
  • While the onions turns brown add ginger garlic paste, all spice powder, salt and saut? for another minute.
  • To this pan add whole contents of the cooker and bring it to boil.
  • Cook under lid in the pan in medium flame for 6- 8 mins or till gravy becomes thick and oil starts clearing on the top.
  • Add 2 Tbsp of oil on the top.Serve hot with appam, chappati etc
